CLOVIS, France, Jan 5 (Reuters) – A giant panda loaned by China to France for a decade made its first public appearance in the snow on Thursday, delighting visitors as it rolled around and took a nap in the fresh powder.

Huan Huan, a 10-year-old female, and her male companion Yuan Zi arrived at the Beauval Zoo in central France in 2012 as part of a diplomatic deal. The pair have previously given birth to two cubs.

With the 2024 Paris Olympics fast approaching, and China set to host the 2022 Winter Games in February, the panda has become an increasingly popular attraction.
