Ba&sh launches resale program in the U.S. – Ba&sh

The French contemporary label has launched ‘Ba&sh Second Hand’, developed with resale platform Archive. The user-friendly system allows U.S.-based sellers to list used Ba&sh items for 50 percent of their original price. Once sold, earnings can be redeemed for a 70 percent cash value or for full value of brand credit.

The launch follows the successful debut of the program in France, which saw both strong supply and demand within the first two months, according to the brand.

“The success of the program in France has proven that our customers care deeply about circularity and sustainability, and it’s a core part of our strategy moving forward,” said Desiree Thomas, chief executive officer of Ba&sh North America.

“Archive has been an incredible partner for our U.S. launch, providing best-in-class solutions to enable a smooth offering for our community, and we can’t wait to see the growth of this essential part of our business.”

The initiative is also inline with Ba&sh’s ongoing circularity efforts and follows the launch of a rental service offering to the U.S.

Dubbed ‘Borrow’, since November 2021, the service has allowed customers in the U.S. to rent and wear the latest Ba&sh pieces available online as many times as they like for a fraction of the retail price.
