While promoting her latest film, Rare Objects, the 44-year-old Glamour was photographed in New York City wearing a pair of triple-toned denim with grommet and sequin embellishments. While the straight-leg jean is practically a modern staple, the low-slung cut and sparkling adornments are straight out of the aughts…which probably makes them all the more Gen Z–approved, TBH. I mean, just look at the rhinestone-encrusted jeans Taylor Swift wore for her first public appearance post–Joe Alwyn breakup. I’ve seen at least five TikTok DIY tutorials on how to make them in just four days.
Holmes paired her statement denim with a fitted white T-shirt, gray blazer, and metallic silver pumps, letting her brunette hair fall in loose waves. To really let the jeans do the talking, Holmes kept her makeup and jewelry minimal, opting for a pair of simple hoop earrings and a delicate stack of bracelets.
During her recent cover interview with Glamour, Katie Holmes opened up about her controversial dress-over-skirt combo that broke the internet in December 2022. Reiterating that the bustier only covered “half her behind” and had to be worn with pants, she spoke out against the sartorial backlash, saying, “Come on, women, let’s hold each other up here. Let’s look a little bit past what we’re wearing. That’s our duty amongst each other. I feel like the woman’s journey is deeper.”
