Your search for a new holy grail pair of jeans ends here. Good American and Zara just released a limited edition collection featuring size-inclusive everyday basics and denim essentials—think jeans, jumpsuits, and denim jackets.
The cult-favorite brand, cofounded by Emma Grede and Khloé Kardashian in 2016, is known for its size-inclusive jeans and ready-to-wear—and it’s now bringing its expert fit to an even wider audience with this highly anticipated collaboration. The partnership may be surprising to some—but it’s not entirely unexpected, with the Spanish retail giant looking to bring more expansive size ranges into its lineup.
“Given our knowledge about denim fit at Good American, we focused the assortment on giving customers a total denim wardrobe, featuring our expertly designed gap-proof waistbands and sculpting fabric,” Good American CEO and cofounder Emma Grede tells Glamour. “We also wanted to provide true staples, like our classic tees and tanks, meant to mix and match easily with what you might already have in your closet.”
For those of you unfamiliar with either brand’s current size range: Good American’s denim runs from 00 to 30, while Zara’s denim tends to stop at a U.S. 14—one size below the national average, which is currently a U.S. 16. This collection, however, will introduce five different pairs of jeans in sizes 0 to 5XL. Popular Good American styles like the Classic Slim Jeans and ’90s Relaxed Jeans made it into the lineup, along with a denim jumpsuit, a denim button-up, and everyday T-shirts and tanks. (The T-shirts are available in black and white, making them easy enough to dress up or down for a date night or running errands—whether you pair them with any of the Good American x Zara jeans or not.)
In addition to making its plus-size clothing more accessible to shop, Good American is also offering its designs at a lower price point—one that’s aligned with the majority of Zara’s offerings. Pieces in this collection range from $35.90 to $99.90; Zara’s jeans typically ring in at $50, while tees usually go for $10 and $30.
Grede says that the line is also made up of “both recycled cotton and ecologically grown cotton,” adding that both brands “value sustainability and have ongoing commitments to transparency and doing good by the planet, with Zara’s Join Life standard and our B Corp Certification at Good American.”
