Giuliano Calza, creative director and cofounder of GCDS, referenced an unlikely source of inspiration for spring-summer 2023: SpongeBob SquarePants. The cartoon character’s goofy face appeared on nipple pasties and sparkling embellishments throughout the collection, while his starfish sidekick Patrick Star made a cameo too.

Lipa is a keen supporter of Calza’s fun-loving fashion and was one of the first to wear his playful spring-summer 2023 pieces. Days after taking the new-season Morso boots for a spin, the singer modeled the crocheted Patrick dress (look 43) from the collection.
She wore the fishnet maxi with a thong underneath, matching mesh gloves and Eéra carabiner earrings (her jewelry brand of choice at the moment) at celebrations held after her Future Nostalgia performance in Melbourne. To complement her daring look, Lipa sported a starry pink mani and bejeweled eye makeup.

Although she’s currently thousands of miles from home, Lipa has made sure to top up her Instagram feed with directional looks from Diesel, Kiko Kostadinov, Givenchy, Proenza Schouler, Knwls, and Dilara Findikoglu.
