You’re never too old for a chic mommy-and-me moment. At least, not if you’re Salma Hayek Pinault and her 16-year-old daughter, Valentina Pinault, who stepped out together in coordinating purple and black looks on October 3.
Hayek’s eggplant-color gown featured long sleeves and ruched details with an asymmetrical midlength skirt, while her daughter was dressed to match in a velvet minidress in the same color, which she topped with a structured black blazer. They also appear to be wearing two versions of the same peep-toe platform shoes. Hayek’s are black patent leather, and Valentina’s look like black suede or velvet.
The mother-daughter pair were pictured arriving at the after-party of the premiere of David Beckham’s Netflix docuseries, Beckham, in London. Hayek Pinault’s dress, by the way, is by Victoria Beckham herself, because Salma is nothing if not supportive. “I loved creating these special pieces for @CruzBeckham and #HarperSeven for last night’s premiere💕 And dressing my #VBMuses in my new collection! Kisses,” wrote Victoria on Instagram, tagging Hayek Pinault, among others.
That the Pinault ladies share a sense of style is no secret—“We fight over clothes because she takes everything from my closet,” Hayek told . This isn’t even the first time they’ve dressed in complementary outfits (Hayek let her daughter raid her ’90s closet for the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars party,and dressed herself in a coordinating shade of red). Which is why I fully expect to see Valentina modeling for Victoria Beckham in the near future—just like her mom.
