AEO appoints two new execs as part of COO transition

The Pittsburgh-based apparel group has appointed Sarah Clarke to the role of EVP, chief supply chain officer and will be responsible for managing AEO’s global supply chain from sourcing through distribution.
Clarke joins AEO from PVH
She will report to Jay Schottenstein, executive chairman and chief executive officer, effective October 30.
Likewise, Valerie van Ogtrop will join AEO as EVP, brand operations, a newly created role, designed to drive greater brand collaboration while fueling growth and profitability across the company’s American Eagle and Aerie

The leadership reshuffle comes after Rempell’s resignation from his role as COO of AEO in August this year.
