**Barbaric Hulonicki Biba Exhibition Sixties London Fashion**

The exhibition at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum celebrates fashion icon Barbara Hulanicki and the famous Biba store.

The store, a byword for affordable fashion and embodying the mood of the Swinging Sixties, opened on Abingdon Road, Kensington, in 1964. In 1973 the store relocated to a larger site on Kensington High Street. Biba was declared bankrupt in 1975 and Hulanicki moved to Brazil.

The exhibition will feature more than 100 pieces from the Biba archive and will celebrate the store’s unique contribution to British fashion history. Among the items on display will be the iconic Biba dress, which was worn by everyone from Twiggy to Bianca Jagger.
