Fashion Institute of Technology Hosts Gala Honoring Tech Innovators

The Fashion Institute of Technology u200b(FIT) in New York City honored leaders in the fashion-tech industry on Monday night at its annual gala. 

The event, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, raised a record-breaking $5.3 million to support FIT’s mission to provide an education in art, design, business, and technology. 

The 2023 Fashion Institute of Technology Awards honorees were:

* **Tommy Hilfiger**, Founder and Principal Designer of Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans
* **Josefina A. Carbonell**, Vice President of Global Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability for Estée Lauder Companies
* **Liz Claiborne and Art Ortenberg**, Founders of Liz Claiborne, Inc.
* **Renée Elise Goldsberry**, Tony Award-winning actress and singer
* **Vicky Tsai**, Co-founder and CEO of Tatcha

The evening began with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony. 

FIT President Joyce F. Brown opened the program by expressing her gratitude to the honorees and guests for their support.
