VF Corporation Taps Gap Veteran for New People Chief

VF Corporation, the parent company of brands such as The North Face, Vans, Timberland, and Dickies, has announced the appointment of Becky Gebhardt as its new Executive Vice President and Global Chief People Officer, effective August 15, 2023.

Gebhardt joins VF Corporation from Gap Inc., where she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer since 2019. In this role, she was responsible for leading the company’s human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, development, and retention, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Prior to Gap Inc., Gebhardt held senior human resources leadership positions at Williams-Sonoma, Inc., Kohl’s Department Stores, and Target Corporation. She has over 25 years of experience in the retail industry and a proven track record of driving organizational transformation and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

At VF Corporation, Gebhardt will be responsible for leading the company’s global human resources function, including talent management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. She will report directly to Steve Rendle, VF Corporation’s Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

Gebhardt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
