U.S. department chain Bloomingdale’s announced on Tuesday the opening of its second-ever Bloomie’s store, bringing the retail concept to the city of Chicago this November.

Located in the greater Chicagoland area, inside the Westfield Old Orchard Mall, the new Bloomie’s store will span 51,000 square feet and offers an edited curation of Bloomingdale’s brands, including men and women’s fashion, shoes and accessories, fine jewelry and cosmetics, as well as home collections featuring luggage, tabletop, housewares, bedding, mattresses and more.

The store design reflects Bloomingdale’s aesthetic “in a fresh and unexpected way through innovative new design concepts,” according to a press release.

The layout of the store drives customer discovery, with experiences like rotating trend shops on both levels highlighting must-have items, and host activations.

Bloomie’s will offer customizations and alterations directly in-store, and shoppers will also have the ability to click-and-collect items. The Bloomie’s Chicago store will also offer a new tech-enabled stylist service, and a dining experience at its new restaurant, bCafé.

Bloomingdale’s has always been a part of the Chicago area, and we are incredibly excited to introduce Bloomie’s to new and existing customers,” said Tony Spring, CEO, Bloomingdale’s. “While Bloomie’s is a new take on Bloomingdale’s, our guests will still be offered an assortment of contemporary and luxury brands across men and women’s fashion, home and beauty, but with a fresh take on the shopping experience.”

Marking the store’s debut on November 17, the retailer is running ’10 Days of Bloomie’s’, a series of holiday-inspired events and activations happening throughout the store, for ten days.

From November 21-23, a variety of brands will offer exclusive experiences for customers, from customizations to specialty restaurant events, and more. Complementary events will then continue throughout the holidays, with monogramming and embroidery opportunities, cookie and cupcake giveaways, among other activations.

The Bloomie’s Chicago store opening comes more than a year after the retailer opened its first Bloomie’s concept store in Fairfax, Virginia, on August 26.
