According to the online resale marketplace, Williams voluntarily resigned from the board of directors on Thursday and specified that the “resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matters relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices.”
Williams, who served as an independent director of the company and as a member of the company’s compensation committee, is expected to remain on the board until a replacement has been appointed.
Williams first joined the board of the digital marketplace in January 2019. At the time, she also opened her own personal closet for charity, giving fans the chance to shop pieces worn by her, with proceeds being donated.
“Poshmark is disrupting retail by making shopping and selling social again, and I love working with a company that gives anyone an opportunity to become an entrepreneur,” said Williams in a statement when she first joined.
