Flaneur opens new flagship store in Amsterdam
Amsterdam-based contemporary menswear brand Flaneur has opened a new flagship boutique in Amsterdam.
Located in the iconic Museum Quarter at Van Baerlestraat 16, the boutique is the result of a creative collaboration between Flaneur’s creative director, Regi Schalks, and Indebt Studio; the ‘Somewhere
Together, they envisioned and executed an innovative installation project that seamlessly melds the brand’s identity with an immersive interior/exterior concept, serving as the driving force behind the development of the flagship store.
Inside, visitors will discover a seamless blend of European elegance and urban edge that characterizes the two-floor establishment. The window display showcases the work of Ciro Duclos – a full-glass street bench, an iconic piece that has graced Amsterdam’s streets for years.
Throughout the boutique, the brand’s signature color, green – symbolizing renewal and fertility – makes appearances in various details, including the fabric lining in the fitting rooms.
Meanwhile, a 100-year-old lantern, placed in a surrealistic manner between floors, adds a touch of enchantment to the space, while steel clothing racks, reflective mirror objects, and innovative glass shelving systems create a dynamic and visually stunning environment.
