If you’re anything like us, you’ve definitely binged Encanto, Disney’s latest hit animated feature, over the holidays. The Golden Globe-nominated film, which follows the magical Madrigal family, has been praised for its rich storytelling and diverse representation for Latinx fans around the world.
To celebrate the blockbuster movie, Disney and Latinx-owned beauty brand Alamar Cosmetics joined forces on a makeup collection that brings viewers into Encanto’s mystical universe. Superfans may already be familiar with the 13-piece collection, which debuted this past November, and highlights (both figuratively and literally!) the Madrigals’ colorful story.
Since its launch, the products have been frequently out of stock and, in some cases, completely sold out on Alamar Cosmetics’ website, but you can still find some on Disney’s end—including the show-stopping 10-pan eye shadow palette. Hues in both rich metallic and buttery matte pigment pay homage to the lush landscapes of Colombia, where the film takes place. Buildable and blendable formulas also mean minimal fallout—a definite win.
Two dazzling liquid liners—a first for the brand—come in soft lilac and brilliant emerald, perfect for recreating jewel-toned eyeliner trends we’ve been seeing on our favorite celebs. Lip gloss fans, rejoice: Alamar Cosmetics’ signature long-lasting gloss is given the Encanto treatment with two new shades: Mirabella, a fiery red, and a !Dimelo Cantando! gold-shimmer nude.
In addition to the palette, Disney and Alamar Cosmetics’ collaboration includes cruelty-free makeup brushes, highlighters, and blushes, as well as a whimsical mirror to match the collection’s magical aesthetic. Really, what more could you wish for?

In an interview with Glossy, Alamar founder Gabriela Trujillo said her team went to extreme lengths to recreate a few key tints from Casa Madrigal, the family home for the characters in the movie. “There’s bougainvillea flowers, which are very popular flowers in Latin culture, and I wanted that to be an eye shadow,” Trujillo told the outlet. “The family’s house has this big greenish-blue door, and we made that into an eye shadow. One shade is exactly the golden color of the butterflies portrayed in the movie. Every single shade we pulled in so that you can have a touchable piece of the movie.”
The collaboration marks the first time Disney has partnered with an indie Latinx-owned makeup brand. In the past few years, Disney has turned to cosmetics collaborations to appeal to a growing generation of young beauty lovers, creating collections inspired by films like Frozen and The Mandalorian. This time, though, Alamar Cosmetics is truly making history.
