Bella Hadid might not have participated in Paris Fashion Week, but that doesn’t mean she can’t steal a bit of the spotlight.
On September 29, Hadid shared her first Instagram post in over a month, posing beachside in a very little black dress. The 26-year-old model showed off her vacation-tanned skin as the strapless minidress featured not only an open back but also a large teardrop-shaped abs cutout, juxtaposing the sweet white flower embellishment on the bust. In keeping with the Y2K end-of-summer-camp dance vibes, Hadid went barefoot and kept her makeup natural and glowing with her hair down in beachy textured waves. She sported minimal jewelry: just a red and orange bracelet and what appeared to be a leather anklet. “August 2023,” she wrote in the caption.
Fans of the younger Hadid sister couldn’t help but point out that she’s been missed this fashion month. “Fashion week isn’t the same without you,” one fan commented with a frowny face, while another wrote, “We miss you on the runways mawma.”

At the beginning of August, Bella Hadid told fans she was “finally healthy” after taking time off work and social media to focus on her 15-year battle with Lyme disease. “Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family, and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram slideshow featuring years of medical reports and recent treatments. “To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever.”

Telling her fans not to “worry,” she continued, “I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today.”
After thanking her team, doctors, and fans for their support, she added, “I’ll be back when I’m ready.”
